Route 25
Heading from west to east, Route 25 initially begins as an extension to Route 24. To the east, Route 25 comes to a maze of trees or shrubs. Regardless of the Generation, the maze is full of Trainers ready to battle. Note that if the player loses to Cooltrainer /Ace Trainer Kevin at the end of the route, he cannot be rematched; however, since he gives the player a Nugget before the battle begins, there's no extra benefit by defeating him besides the prize money, which all Trainers give. To the northwest of the maze is a patch of grass containing wild Pokémon. Near the east end of the maze, there is a cuttable tree blocking an area that contains an item. By removing the tree with Cut or the Secret Technique Chop Down, Trainers can collect a certain item.
