Kanto Underground Path
The path is a long, dark hallway that travels under Saffron City. Despite the cave-like lighting of the path, there is no threat to be attacked by wild Pokémon. Occasionally, by using an Itemfinder, a Dowsing MCHN, or the player's Partner Pokémon's tail, items that Trainers have dropped along the path can be found and retrieved. In Generations I and III, a girl in the Route 5 gate is willing to trade Pokémon with the player.
