Sootopolis City

Sootopolis City is a city located to the east of the Hoenn mainland. Sootopolis City plays a major part in the games, as it is the location where the player has their encounter with the Legendary Pokémon Groudon or Kyogre, and obtain their final Badge. Sootopolis City has a fantastic nighttime view, with stars peering in through the top of the crater. In the games, Sootopolis City can only be reached by diving through Route 126, or by Flying or soaring. Sootopolis is surrounded by Route 126. During the story, after Kyogre and/or Groudon is awakened, the weather in Sootopolis is temporarily changed to harsh sunlight /extremely harsh sunlight, rain /heavy rain, or abnormal weather. The weather returns to normal once the crisis is over.
