This route is in the middle of a huge blizzard, hampering visibility and the ability to run or ride bicycles. Also, in all battles, it will be hailing, damaging any non- Ice-type Pokémon. The Ice Rock is located at the extreme northeast, causing Eevee to evolve into Glaceon if it is leveled up on this route. When the player enters this area in Pokémon Platinum, they encounter Maylene, have a chat, and then she runs off to Snowpoint City.
