Mt. Chimney

Mt. Chimney is a large volcano in the Hoenn region. The peak is accessible via cable car from Route 112, and from there a path south leads down Jagged Pass. Members of Team Magma or Team Aqua steal a Meteorite from the Meteor Falls and put it in a machine. In Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, they intend to cause the volcano to become active or dormant; in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, they are attempting to fashion a Mega Stone for Groudon or Kyogre. Later in Pokémon Emerald, Team Magma has a base within the volcano, which is where Groudon makes its home prior to its battle against Kyogre. After the villainous team has left, Lava Cookies are available for purchase from an old lady for $200 at the top of Mt. Chimney.
